Surface water bodies: Chemical exemptions and pressures [table]

The Water Framework Directive (WFD) allows for exemptions from achieving good ecological status under specific conditions. This dashboard provides a table of chemical exemptions by EU Country, applied to surface water bodies, as well as the related significant pressures.

Data can be explored for the 2nd and 3rd River Basin Management Plan (RBMP) cycles. Filters are available to display information by country, including individual countries, the EU-27, or all reporting countries, by exemption types and categories and by pressure group and type.
