Brief description of progress (measurement of effectiveness of measure)
Er werd onderzocht of er zich een specifieke problematiek voordoet rond afval die overboord gegooid wordt door zeilers of recreatieve vissers. De 9 jachthavens aan de Belgische kust werden telefonisch gecontacteerd en geïnterviewd op 31 juli of 1 en 2 augustus 2018. In het rapport van deze interviews worden meer concrete actiepunten voor de komende jaren opgesomd. Eén van de acties is het sensibiliseren van zeilers en recreatieve vissers omtrent sigarettepeuken in zee. Hiertoe worden asbakjes besteld, die zullen worden uitgedeeld op de Belgian Boatshow en de verkeersveilige dagen in 2019. Bovendien zal in 2019 een inspiratiemoment voor de jachtclubs georganiseerd worden, oa. rond thema's zoals selectieve afvalpreventie en afvalinzameling, communicatie naar de leden, Blauwe vlag & bezoekers, en het gebruik van de SeaBIN (seabinproject.com) in havens.
