Description [Targets]
All practical activities must comply with the current regulatory regime and management should ensure that regulatory assessments are carried out in a way that provides the most complete consideration of all potential impacts, including cumulative effects in the most appropriate spatial scales to ensure that the health of the environment is not compromised. It is necessary to control of critical parts of the sea: coastal, shelf (including over the continental slope, where there are a number important processes), and the deep-sea basin. In the long term it is necessary to develop more detailed statistical information ensuring basic estimates of the prevailing hydrographic conditions of the environment in the three assessment areas: coastal, shelf and open sea. Special control is needed on the hydrographical conditions and their impact to chemical and biological changes, especially in the critical boundary between cold and warm half-year (i.e. March-April).
