Description criteria
Specimens of one species of seabird (Gulosus aristotelis desmarestii) died as bycatch during the assessment period. All reported incidents were related to the small-scale fisheries (PG-GTR, PG-LLS) while no reports were related to pelagic longliners (LLD) or bottom trawlers (OTB), even though the latter were very well monitored. Based on the methodology described in the text, Criterion D1C1 cannot be determined for seabirds, marine turtles and fish at the moment, due to the absence of set TVs.
Assessment was conducted also on the element level (see text report).
