Target 3: The marine environment of Cyprus is considered to be in good environmental status by the year 2020 if human-induced eutrophication is minimised, especially adverse effects thereof, such as losses in biodiversity, ecosystem degradation, harmful algae blooms and oxygen deficiency in bottom waters.
Quantitative target, consisting of two sub-targets, which in turn are calculated from 9 indicators (see Assessment method). This target and its indicators correspond to Descriptor 5 and relevant criteria and indicators. |
