Overall, an MSFD-compliant assessment is not yet possible for Descriptor 9. At regional or sub-regional level, it needs to be assessed whether, if necessary, thresholds for additional pollutants not covered by the Regulation on maximum quantities (Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006) need to be developed. There is not yet a nationwide evaluation of the analyses carried out as part of the food monitoring.

Description overall status |
Overall, an MSR-based assessment is not yet possible for Descriptor 9. While the state with regard to the levels of pollutants in food for mussels is good, an evaluation of the levels of pollutants in fish has not yet been completed. At regional or sub-regional level, it needs to be assessed whether, if necessary, thresholds for additional pollutants not covered by the Regulation on maximum quantities (Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006) need to be developed.
There is not yet a nationwide evaluation of the analyses carried out as part of the food monitoring.
