GES is achieved if the biopollution level (BPL) is ≤ 1. |

Justification for non-use of criterion |
According to the guidance documents, D2C2 indicators serve as the basis for assessing the impact of non-indigenous species under D2C3. There is no need to determine GES for this criterion.
The values of the indicators in this criterion are the input to the indicators of the next criterion D2C3, a separate assessment of the criterion D2C2 is not made, and the results of the indicators are not aggregated. |
