Αξιολογήθηκε το κριτήριο D9C1, που αναφέρει ότι «οι συγκεντρώσεις ρύπων σε εδώδιμα αλιεύματα στους βρώσιμους ιστούς δεν προκαλούν προβλήματα στην ανθρώπινη υγεία». Διαπιστώθηκε ότι οι συγκεντρώσεις ρύπων σε εδώδιμα αλιεύματα δεν υπερβαίνουν τα μέγιστα επίπεδα που καθορίζονται στον κανονισμό (ΕΚ) αριθ. 1881/2006 καιι την τροποποίηση 1259/2011.
