Η εξάπλωση των Λεσσεψιανών μεταναστών δεν μπορεί να αντιμετωπιστεί σε επίπεδο Kράτους Mέλους της ΕΕ. Μέτρα διαχείρισης μπορούν να ληφθούν μόνο όσον αφορά οικοσυστημικές υπηρεσίες (π.χ. ανθρώπινη υγεία, τουρισμός, αλιεία) και όχι σχετικά με τη λειτουργία των οικοσυστήματων. Προτείνεται λοιπόν τα Λεσσεψιανά είδη να αντιμετωπίζονται με προσοχή κατά την αξιολόγηση της ΚΠΚ.

Με βάση τις επικαιροποιημένες πληροφορίες, ο αριθμός των ξενικών ειδών που παρείσδυσαν πρόσφατα μέσω ανθρώπινων δραστηριοτήτων στις ελληνικές θάλασσες φαίνεται να μειώνεται από 36 είδη στην περίοδο 2012-2017 έναντι 42 ειδών κατά την περίοδο 2006-2011.
