Target description
Including MSFD related ecological objectives in MSP
By directing and regulating fishing; the sustainability and biological diversity for the most important coastal species is secured and the achievement of GES is promoted.
The condition of sea trout stocks will improve in part with the regulation of marine fishing.
The amounts of bycatch obtained in fishing are known and they do not contribute to threatening the condition of the species or stocks nor the achievement of the target conditions set for them or staying within them.
The use of marine natural resources is sustainable. This is main target for the sub-targets "LUVA".

Target assessment description
MSFD related objectives were included in the Maritime spatial plans and the target was achieved. While this target is still topical; MSP will not be updated during the 3rd MSFD cycle and this target can be ended.
After implementing measures signs of recovery are seen but it takes time to achieve GES.
Catching natural sea trout was criminalized and this already seen in positive recruitment.
Target is newly established.
This is a main target and the assessments are given in the sub-targets BAL-FI-LUVA1-2030; BAL-FI-LUVA2-2030; BAL-FI-LUVA3-2030 and BAL-FI-LUVA4-2030.
