GES description
The levels of impurities are at levels that do not lead to pollution effects
Concentrations of harmful substances in biota or water are at levels that do not cause direct or indirect adverse effects on vulnerable marine organisms or on top of the food web.
Polybrominated diphenyl ethers in fish (congener patterns tri-BDE 28, tetraBDE 47, pentaBDE 99 and 100, hexaBDE, decaBDE, decaBDE)
Harmful concentrations are at levels that do not give rise to harmful biological effects at the individual level or at any level of the food web and the health of marine organisms is not compromised. Adverse effects include, but are not limited to, acute toxic effects, disruption of vital functions and diseases, disorders of individual development, reproduction, growth and behavior, and effects on the populations of organisms in the broadest sense.
