GES description
Ireland has achieved Good Environmental Status when the amount of litter on the coastline is below the threshold value of 20 items per 100 m and when the amount of litter on the seabed shows a stable or decreasing trend. It should be noted that no threshold value for seafloor litter has been established at an EU level.
