Justification for non-use of criterion |
Loss causing activities that are inventoried and mapped under criteria D6C1 are not directly used to assess GES as the output is incorporated into the Indicator on Physical Loss of Broad Habitat Type, which determines the extent of loss of the habitat type, resulting from anthropogenic pressures (D6C4). Therefore, a GES assessment of D6C1 alone is not necessary. |
In criteria D6C2, the physical disturbance associated with different activities is mapped and the output is used in D6C3, where the adverse effects of such disturbance is estimated. Therefore, a GES assessment of D6C2 alone is not necessary. |
