Ireland has achieved Good Environmental Status within coastal and territorial waters when the concentrations of contaminants do not exceed thresholds in accordance with Directive 2000/60/EC (SI 272 of 2009 as amended) and do not exceed OSPAR Environmental Assessment Criteria (EAC) for the OSPAR Coordinated Environmental Monitoring Programme (CEMP) and concentrations are not increasing significantly. |
