Description overall status
The evaluation of the hydrographical changes was limited to the application of the secondary criterion D7C1. D7C2 was not applied because there are currently no sufficiently established methodologies and protocols to assess the negative impact of hydrographical condition changes on habitats affected by these modifications. The evaluation process was divided into several phases. In the first phase, a census of coastal and offshore infrastructures was conducted through the MASE (Ministry of Environment and Energy Security) portal - https://va.mite.gov.it/it-IT. In the second phase, the censused infrastructures were selected in line with the update of the definition of GES (Good Environmental Status) for Descriptor 7 of the MSFD (Marine Strategy Framework Directive), adopted by Italy with the Ministerial Decree of February 15, 2019.
