MS Italy has developed a national specific monitoring programme under the project EcAp-ICZM, to survey planned, developing or realized after 2012 marine and coastal infrastructures requiring a national EIA procedure. For one infrastructure, Terminale GNL to be realized in Monfalcone Port in Adriatic Sea, a specific monitoring programme has been implemented and results have been used to develop a methodological guidance for future monitoring and assessment for D7. Furthermore, during the period 2012-2018, monitoring data on background oceanographical characteristic and features have been collected and analyzed at sub-regional scale in order to identify natural variability trend against which permanent hydrographical modifications due to infrastructures have been assessed.
