Target assessment description
The area of sediment dumping (dumping) and sand excavation in different habitats during the period 2012-2017 in intermediate and coastal waters (BAL-LT-AA-01 and BAL-LT-AA-02) did not exceed 1 % of the habitat, and the environmental status was good for all habitat types. Objective BAL-LT-AA-01 and BAL-LT-AA-02 for maritime units has been achieved.
In the open sea area (BAL-LT-AA-03), the state of the environment in the habitat of the circalittoral sands has been recorded. The dumping and sand excavations carried out here accounted for 1.09 % of the total area of the habitat and exceeded the GES threshold (<1 % of the area of the habitat...
