Em relação ao valor limiar, considerando as recomendações atuais em Tsiamis et al (2021), deverá considerar-se para determinar o valor limiar, 50% do valor médio de novos registos para os últimos ciclos de referência. Assim, utilizando o proposto, temos um valor limiar de 4,75 ou seja de forma conservadora, um total de 4 espécies para um ciclo de 6 anos.
No caso deste ciclo de reporte (2016-2021) foram reportadas 8 novas espécies para a subdivisão Açores, logo não esta em BOM Estado Ambiental (Costa, ACMR comunicação pessoal).
