Target description
Desenvolver e implementar até 2036 uma rede de monitorização do habitat pelágico (incluindo parâmetros bióticos como clorofila, fitoplâncton e zooplâncton e abióticos).
Até 2028, desenvolver a nível técnico-científico um programa de monitorização nacional que permita assegurar a avaliação dos 11 descritores.
Até 2028, desenvolver um dashboard para a DQEM que apresente a evolução da implementação da Diretiva na subdivisão dos Açores.

Target assessment description
Não existe um programa de monitorização contínua dos parâmetros dos habitats pelágicos na RAA.
As metas definidas em 2018 com o propósito de "desenvolver e implementar metodologia adequadas, de modo a obter informação, para permitir avaliar o BEA até 2024", foram integradas na meta nacional de forma a garantir uma uniformização de metodologias, a nível nacional, que permitam obter dados comparáveis entre as 3 subdivisões.
Já foram identificados os locais pertinentes para a monitorização, nomeadamente no mar territorial e nas águas oceânicas da subdivisão da Madeira.
