Os contaminantes nos peixes, moluscos e mariscos para consumo humano não excedem os níveis estabelecidos pelo Regulamento (UE) nº 2023/915 da Comissão, de 25 de abril, ou seja, em termos metodológicos, quando menos de 10% das amostras apresentam desvios positivos em relação aos níveis fixados estabelecidos. Sendo que os dados deisponíveis para avaliação foram considerados insuficientes,o BEA foi considerado desconhecido para a subdivisão dos Açores.
O BEA é atingido se em 90% das amostras os níveis de contaminantes presentes nos tecidos comestíveis dos organismos marinhos não ultrapassarem os valores definidos no Regulamento (UE) 2023/915 da Comissão.A determinação do BEA é avaliada, considerando diferentes níveis de integração: contaminante na espécie; total de contaminantes no pescado. D9C1 tem threshold definido pela C/2024/2078 de 11.03.2024.
