Target description
A.1 Input of nutrients from human activities shall decrease decrease until it does not cause concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus in the marine environment which prevent good environmental status from being maintained or achieved
B.1 Input of hazardous substances from human activities shall decrease until it does not cause concentrations of hazardous substances which prevent good environmental status from being maintained or achieved
B.2 Hazardous substances in the marine environment supplied by human activities must not cause adverse effects on biodiversity and ecosystems. B.2 Hazardous substances in the marine environment introduced through human activities shall not cause adverse effects on biological diversity and ecosystems.
C.3 The populations of all naturally occurring fish species and shellfish affected by fishing have an age and size structure, as well as a population size that guarantee their long-term sustainability. Modification 2025: One of the indcators for assessing the target is deleted and three new indicators are added. in indicators C.3.1 and C.3.2 the target values are modified.
C.4 Presence, species composition of species, and size distribution in the fish community must make it possible to maintain important functions in the food web. (HVMFS 2012:29).
C.4 Presence, species composition of species, and size distribution in the fish community must make it possible to maintain important functions in the food web. (HVMFS 2012:29).
E.2 Human activities should not cause harmful impulse noise in the distribution areas for marine mammals during periods when the animals are sensitive to disturbance. Modification 2025: The aim of the target is expandes to also include fish and has changed focused to temporary or permanent heaaring loss. This can be done because of the introduction of the new target E.3.
E.3 Human activities should not cause impulsive noise that exposes the marine environment to noise levels that prevent good environmental status from being maintained or achieved.
