Parameters to be monitored are the waters in which fish stocking has occurred, the amount of fish species and strains that have been released, dissemination opportunities in the area, genetic origin of released material, who has applied for a license and performed the release, and when and how the release was performed, and risk category for health status.

The monitoring methods is adapted to the specific pressure and to the environmental conditions in the surrounding waters of the nuclear power plants. Data could be aggregated with similar data from other countries with similar environmental preconditions.
It will be possible to aggregate data with similar data from other countries using the online decision support tool described in HELCOM ALIENS 3 – Tests of the Harmonized Approach to Ballast Water Management Exemptions in the Baltic (chapter 5).
