Para el actual ciclo de estrategias marinas, se propone definir el buen estado ambiental de acuerdo con lo acordado en el grupo ICG-MSFD de OSPAR (ver Documento Marco de Estrategias Marinas), con el siguiente enunciado: Los ruidos impulsivos de alta, media y baja frecuencia y el ruido continuo de baja frecuencia introducidos en el medio marino a través de las actividades humanas no tienen efectos adversos sobre los ecosistemas marinos.
Good ecological status is achieved when the following conditions are cumulatively met : - The detection and acoustic communication capacities of large cetaceans are not altered by anthropogenic noise disturbance; - The frequentation of ecological functional zones by species sensitive to noise disturbance is preserved; - The direct or indirect accidental excess mortality due to anthropogenic noise disturbance is marginal.
To achieve GES:
The energy introduced in the marine environment including noise should not reach levels adversely affecting marine biota.
GES description D11C1 Anthropogenic impulsive sound (11.1, 11.1.1)
The introduction of anthropogenic loud, low and mid-frequency impulsive sound energy is at levels that do not adversely affect the marine biota.
Časovna in prostorska razporeditev impulznega hrupa pri visoki, nizki in srednji frekvenci nima pomembnih škodljivih vplivov na morske organizme.
GES description D11C2 Anthropogenic continuous low-frequency sound (11.2, 11.2.1)
The introduction of anthropogenic low-frequency ambient noise is at levels that do not adversely affect the existing marine biota.
