Q4f - Programme description
Programos tikslas vykdyti jūros aplinką teršiančių šiukšlių stebėseną Lietuvos jūros pakrantėje. Siekiama įvertinti hidrologinių sąlygų įtaką jūrinę aplinką teršiančių šiukšlių kaupimuisi krante, rekreacinės apkrovos įtaką, tuo pačiu įvertinant esamą atliekų surinkimo ir tvarkymo infrastruktūrą. ...

Q5f - Description of programme for GES assessment

Q5h - Plans to implement monitoring for GES assessment

Q6f - Plans to implement monitoring for targets assessment
Programme will be checked against increased knowledge about risks and impacts. Implementation of MSFD requires determining progress targets for achieving Good Environment Status of marine environment. Up to date, there was now nowledge on current state of marine litter pollution in the region. Th...

Q7b - Description of monitoring of activities
2014 year study showed that, tourism related marine litter items showed weak seasonal dependency, but were most abundant during spring and summer surveys. Both tourism and fishery related beach marine litter (BML) strongly depend on the location. Fishery related items, such as tangled nets/ cord/rope and string or fishing lines, etc., made 15.5 % (~37 items) of total identified objects and were most abundant compared to other beaches. Most of the identified litter had no evidence of marine organisms attached. This fact indicates, that period spent at sea floating/submerged was rather short and therefore allows interpreting that main sources of pollution are local(for more information see paper Balčiūnas, 2014).
