Didelės rodiklio reikšmės reiškia rūšinės įvairovės turtingumą bei menką vienos rūšies dominavimą ir, atvirkščiai, mažos reikšmės žymi menką rūšių įvairovę ir didelį vienos rūšies dominavimą. Gerą aplinkos būklę Lietuvos priekrantėje žymi indekso vertė tarp 1,3 ir 1,5 vienai standartinei žvejybos pastangai (visas sugautas žuvų kiekis, padalintas iš bendro pastangų kiekio, panaudoto pagauti laimikį). Šios vertės žymi referentinių duomenų metinių medianų 95 ir 5 procentilius. |
