GES description | D2 Non-indigenous species |
The numbers of non-indigenous species released through human activities are at levels that do not adversely affect other ecosystems
|
Good environmental status for the descriptor ?non-indigenous species? is achieved when new species are introduced and transferred to zero and where non-indigenous species have no negative impact on populations of native species and habitats. This means that non-indigenous species, such as the WFD, should not be a criterion for achieving the overall status (GES). the pressures and impacts described in the reporting sheet (see list of physical/chemical features, habitat, functional groups and press) are understood to affect the GES of the descriptor. The list has been filled in accordingly.
|
Främmande arter som har införts genom mänsklig verksamhet håller sig på nivåer som inte förändrar ekosystemen negativt. Non-indigenous species introduced by human activities are at levels that do not adversely alter the ecosystem. |

GES description | D2C1 Newly-introduced NIS | ||||||||
GES description | D2C2 Established NIS (2.1, 2.1.1) |
Introduction of new alien species
Non-native species and functional groups, trophic levels and the functioning of the ecosystem or habitats are not adversely affected. |
Abundance is not higher than sertain frequency of occurrence |
Trend of change in the number of new non-native species: no new non-native species appear every 10-20 m
|
The presence of invasive non-indigenous species may not result in unacceptable direct or indirect effects on marine fauna and flora (Criterion D2.1.1). |
Inga nya introduktioner av främmande arter och stammar, genetiskt modifierade organismer (GMO) eller organismer vars genetiska egenskaper förändrats på annat sätt och som riskerar att hota den biologiska mångfalden, äger rum. 2.1 No new introductions of non-indigenous species and strains, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), or organisms whose genetic properties are otherwise altered, which may adversely affect biological diversity, take place. |
|||
GES description | D2C3 Adverse effects of NIS (2.2, 2.2.1, 2.2.2) |
Bio-containment indices for indigenous species, habitats and ecosystem functioning on indigenous species, habitats and functioning of the ecosystem
Invasive species and functional groups, trophic levels and the functioning of ecosystems and habitats are not adversely affected. |
Biopollution Index |
Biopollution index: non-increasing biopollution index of the district and individual invasive species compared to the initial assessment
|
The presence of invasive non-indigenous species may not result in unacceptable direct or indirect effects on marine fauna and flora (Criteria D2.2.1 and D2.2.2.). |
Invasiva främmande arters och stammars negativa effekter på biologisk mångfald och ekosystem minimeras. 2.2 The negative effects of invasive non-indigenous species and strains on biological diversity and ecosystems are minimised. |
