Die Maßnahme beinhaltet 3 Komponenten: Komponente 1: Maßnahmen zum Umgang mit erkannten Gefahrensituationen laufen kontinuierlich. Projekte zur Entwicklung und Verbesserung (RoBEMM + OffVali) zum Umgang mit Gefahrensituationen sind in der Umsetzung. Komponente 2: Maßnahmen zur Vervollständigung des Lagebilds. Zur Komponente 2 laufen weitergehende Untersuchungen zu Munitionsversenkungsgebieten und Munitionsverdachtsflächen. Zudem befinden sich Projekte insbesondere zur Umweltbelastung mit Kampfmittel-typischen Verbindungen und Überwachung der Umweltauswirkungen in der Umsetzung (Projekte UDEMM, DAIMON, NSW). Komponente 3: Maßnahmen zur zukunftsorientierten Bewertung. Zu Komponente 3 findet fortlaufend ein Expertenaustausch auf internationaler Ebene statt.
