The needed coordination within the regional convention (Barcelona), through the ECAP process, has started and needs more fine tuned actions and technical framework. In the short term it is not sufficient to support the steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementatio, also taking into account new Commission Decision for GES assessment. There is the need to push the process within ECAP and to use also the other International structures acting within the Mediterranean. Consideration on how to deal with third countries must also be fostered. |

The needed coordination within the regional convention (Barcelona), through the ECAP process, has started late and needs more fine tuned actions and technical framework. In the short term it is not sufficient to support the initial steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementation. There is the need to push the process within ECAP and to use also the other International structures acting within the Mediterranean. Consideration on how to deal with third countries must also be fostered. |

The needed coordination within the regional convention (Barcelona), through the ECAP process, has started late and needs more fine tuned actions and technical framework. In the short term it is not sufficient to support the initial steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementation. There is the need to push the process within ECAP and to use also the other International structures acting within the Mediterranean. Consideration on how to deal with third countries must also be fostered. |

The needed coordination within the regional convention (Barcelona), through the ECAP process, has started late and needs more fine tuned actions and technical framework. In the short term it is not sufficient to support the initial steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementation. There is the need to push the process within ECAP and to use also the other International structures acting within the Mediterranean. Consideration on how to deal with third countries must also be fostered. |

In the short term it is not sufficient to support the initial steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementation. The needed coordination within the regional convention (Barcelona), through the ECAP process, has started late and needs more fine tuned actions and technical framework. In the short term it is not sufficient to support the initial steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementation. There is the need to push the process within ECAP and to use also the other International structures acting within the Mediterranean. Consideration on how to deal with third countries must also be fostered. |

Art. 10 regional coherence problems |
The needed coordination within the regional convention (Barcelona), through the ECAP process, has started late and needs more fine tuned actions and technical framework. In the short term it is not sufficient to support the initial steps of the EU-Mediterranean MSs for MSFD implementation. There is the need to push the process within ECAP and to use also the other International structures acting within the Mediterranean. Consideration on how to deal with third countries must also be fostered. |
