Assessment method
Method to carry out monitoring of solid waste thrown out by the sea shore or collected along coastal areas in the polish marine zone of the Baltic Sea. The costal surveillance was conducted with the participation of teams of volunteer observators. Marine litter collected on the designated segments. All wastes were classification on macro litter and micro litter, afterwards calculated a frequency factor. GES has been achieved when the frequency factor ≤6 (for micro litter) and when the frequency factor ≤1 (for macro litter).
