Ensure social participation in the Marine Strategy of the South Atlantic Basin through outreach, awareness-raising, voluntary environmental education and stakeholder involvement in the marine environment. This objective will be gained as a new objective, given that the code and indicators have changed.
C.1.4: Ensure proper coordination of public administrations, institutions and sectors in the demarcation of the Strait and Alboran Sea, which carry out work related to the marine environment, in such a way as to avoid duplication and exploit synergies. In the second cycle, this objective has been amended to: C.E.7. Achieve proper coordination of public administrations, institutions and sectors in the South Atlantic basin that carry out work related to the marine environment, in such a way as to avoid duplication and exploit synergies. This objective will be produced as a new one, as the code and indicators have changed.
C.3.10:
B.1.1: Reduce the volume of direct or indirect discharges without appropriate treatment (industrial discharges, waste water, discharges from rivers, run-off, etc.) into the marine environment, as well as improve the efficiency of sewage treatment stations and sewerage networks to minimise the supply of litter, pollutants and nutrients to the marine environment. In the second cycle, this objection has been divided into 4: B.L.3.Reducing the input of nutrients, pollutants and litter from river discharges. B.L.4.Reducing the input of nutrients, pollutants and litter from waste water. B.L.5.Reducing the input of nutrients, contaminants and litter from rainy events. B.L.6. Reducing the input of nutrients and contaminants from agricultural activities: Surplus and returns from irrigation and livestock farming, among others. These objectives will be presented as new objectives.
C.E.20: Ensuring the traceability of fishery products to know their geographical origin, the scientific name of the species, as well as their biometric parameters (sex and size), so that the information obtained in the different official controls can be used for the assessment of Descriptor 9. ? The catch area of samples and other parameters needed to evaluate D9 is included as an obligatory field within health monitoring protocols.

T 9.1: Decreasing trend in the concentration of contaminants in the samples of fishery products from non-compliant national waters according to the limits established by current legislation (Reg. 1881/2006 and subsequent amendments).
MT_Target_2019_D8C1b: Chronic discharges from sea-based sources of pollution are curtailed.
MT_Target_2019_D8C1a: Input of relevant contaminants from direct discharges is maintained below established Emission Limit Values, set in consideration of cumulative impacts.
D9-2: An appropriate proportion of catches landed from fishing vessels for fish, shellfish or other animals intended for human consumption must be checked by the competent inspection body (the corresponding percentage shall be determined in the annual programmes of the competent inspection body).
D9C1: Maintaining good status in such a way that concentrations of contaminants in fish and seafood do not exceed the limits set by legislation. Upgrade the monitoring of concentrations of pollutants in marine organisms caught in marine waters, under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Slovenia.
D9T1: a) Maintain the current levels of detected contaminants. b) Not to exceed the current number of contaminants that has surpassed maximum regulatory levels.
Target6: Target 6: The marine environment of Cyprus is considered to be in good environmental status by the year 2020 if contaminants in fish and other seafood for human consumption do not exceed levels established by Community legislation or other relevant standards.
